How to Make an Oven Mitt

Hey guys. Today we are learning to  make our very own oven Mitt in less than one hour with the free oven Mitt sewing pattern provided for you. These DIY oven gloves are just the right size,  not too big and floppy, and you can choose to quilt the outside of the oven mitt or leave it nice and smooth, your choice. Materials needed:

  • fabric – 2 pieces @ 13 x 20″ of cotton, canvas or home decor fabric (one main, one lining)
  • batting -13x 20″
  • 1/2″ wide double fold bias tape
  • free oven mitt pattern (download from the link below)
  • matching thread
  • scissors (or rotary cutter and a cutting mat)
  • ruler or measuring tape
  • iron and ironing board
  • sewing clips or pins
  • sewing machine
