How to make a Dish Sponge

Are you new to sewing? Looking for something so easy yet very useful? Don't worry we have got a hand full of free DIY projects just to keep you busy. Let's start off with the easy to make dish sponges. This pattern is so easy and quick to sew up, you could sew a few for your kitchen and gift the others to your neighbors. Now, you don't have to go out buying sponges when you can simple sew up your own.

Materials needed:

  • fabric – 2 pieces of polyester or cotton fabric (one main, one lining)
  • batting
  • tulle or mesh
  • matching thread
  • scissors (or rotary cutter and a cutting mat)
  • ruler or measuring tape
