DIY Patchwork Potholder with Pockets

This is absolutely the best gift anyone can give a couple, especially newly married or just moving house. In fact anyone worth their salt in the kitchen will be certainly happy to have these patchwork potholders in their kitchen. It prevents a lot of accidents in this important part of the home. Now why don't you just grab the tutorial and get down to making these protectors right away!

Materials needed:

  • 6 - 5'' charm squares of fabric for the patchwork
  • various small pieces of fabric for the potholder back and pockets
  • 56'' of bias cut fabric cut 2 1/2'' wide 
  • a 8'' x 12'' piece of Insulbright insulated batting
  • 1/2 yard 100% cotton quilt batting
  • quilt basting spray (such as SpraynBaste or 505)
