Oversized Casserole Dish Hot Pads

Nothing’s worse than placing a delicious meal in the oven, waiting for the timer to finally sound, and then realizing you need a hot pad to lift out your large dish or pan, but you can only find a regular napkin. Or even worse…..you can’t even find anything! And then you scramble for whatever you have, awkwardly wrap it around the edges of the pan and then try to lift it out of the oven without getting burned. Definitely tragic, so why not learn to sew this regular and more efficient Oversized Casserole Dish Hot Pad to avoid the horror that was mentioned above. It is very much worth your time. 

Materials needed:

  • Two sheets of fat quarter fabric or one-yard cotton fabric
  • Insult-Bright Insulated Lining
  • Cotton quilt batting
  • Disappeared ink fabric marker
  • Pin or quilting clips
  • Thread
  • Chopstick
  • Scissors
  • Sewing machine
  • Ironing machine
