DIY Girl’s Nightgown From Receiving Blankets

This is the tutorial for sewing a girl's nightgown and for this project, we will use a receiving blanket as the main material. These blankets are made to withstand heavy use and laundering, and they are also good for wrapping those womb-fresh little ones. This tutorial explains in detail, the Nitty gritty steps of making this nightgown for your girls, so open it and get to work right away to make this super-comfortable attire!

Materials needed:

  • 1 or 2 receiving blankets for the main fabric
  • 1 receiving blanket for the accent fabric
  • 1/4″ elastic
  • Rhinestones (optional)
  • Basic sewing supplies
