How to Sew a Zero Waste Produce Bag

Hey friends. I don’t know where you are, but where I am now, IT IS SUMMER!!! And with all this hot weather comes the most beautiful produce of the season. All the peaches and tomatoes and greens are at their best, and farmer’s markets are bursting at the ripe, ripe yummies. What's best to use to shop for all those mouth watering fruits and vegetables than this zero waste produce bag!

Materials needed:

  • Fabric unbleached 100% cotton muslin fabric
  • Ribbon (1/4” – 1/2”) or drawstring material of your choice
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Rotary cutter and mat
  • Sewing Pins or clips
  • Safety pins
  • As with most sewing projects you will need an iron, ironing board, and sewing machine.
