DIY Clutch Bag
I’m so happy to be able to share this amazing DIY with you all. From the title I’m sure you already guessed what we have on our table today. Well, it’s this beautiful clutch bag! Yay, so excited! Don’t you just love these little bags? They are perfect for holding little essentials like makeup, phones, wallets and much more. Enough of the talking, let’s begin!
Materials needed:
- 1 fat quarter of fabric for the exterior
- 1 fat quarter of fabric for the lining
- 1 5/8 yds bias binding (make your own 2 1/4” wide or use store bought)
- a 3” x 50” strip of fabric for the skinny strap (piece together if necessary)
- a 10” x 15” piece of flexible foam stabilizer
- 1 zipper, 8” long or longer
- 1 magnetic snap
- 3” x 50” lightweight interfacing such as Shape-flex for the strap (making use of smaller pieces or scraps is fine)
- 2 D-rings with a 3/4” opening (any size opening from 1/2” – 1” would also work fine)
- 2 swivel snap clips with a 3/4” opening for the strap (any size opening from 1/2” – 1” would also work fine)
- Basting spray such as SpraynBond (optional, but helpful)
- a piece of felt approximately 2 1/4” x 3 1/2”
- hot glue and glue gun or fabric glue
